UEFA Champions League 2015 Semi Final: BARCELONA vs BAYERN MUNICH 2nd LEG

Thirsty for the mouthwatering clash between FC Barcelona and FC Bayern Munich? Then this post is for you. Although FC Barcelona is well ahead in the competition by winning the first leg with a smart score line of 3-0 at Camp Nou. Both the Argentine and Brazilian sensation scored for the team and gave Barcelona a healthy lead. And that is why Barcais going to start the second leg with a huge plus point.

But the score line doesn’t tell the actual story. Neither has it told the heroic effort of Manuel Neuer. The Bayern goalkeeper did everything possible from his side from preventing the deadly trio aka ‘MSN’ from scoring. But it was the argentine magician, Lionel Messi who started the show with a brilliant kick from just outside the box when Daniel Alvez snatched the ball from the hero of FIFA world cup 2014, Mario Gotze. That goal was a huge relief for Team Barcelona as their attacks were being destroyed by the German wall. And just after three minutes of the first goal, it was Messi again. This time the scapegoat was Jerome Boateng. He was literally grounded by the little genius and a little chip over the head of Neuer, did the work for Barcelona. And lastly Bayern Munich was thrown out of the game when Neymer made it 3-0 with the assistance of Leo Messi. This two goals made Messi the all-timetop goal scorer of UEFA champion’s league. Although Cristiano Ronaldo is just one goal behind him. Before the match FC Bayern’s manager Pep Guardilo said, he had no clue how to stop Lionel Messi, as he knew him very well while he used to coach Barcelona. And it was Guardiola himself, who actually raised Messi up and made a legendary figure in world football.

Bayern Munich definitely missed the experienced Dutch winger Arjen Robben in the field, who is out due to an injury. The injury list for Bayern also includes the name of Frank Riberry, another experienced soldier for the club. And unlucky Thomas Muller and half-fit Robert Lewandowski also had to pay the price. But Bayern still has a hope to qualify for the final if they can win the second leg by a difference of minimum four goals. Although it seems little bit uncomfortable for them to score 4-0 minimum against Barcelona who are really in great form this season. But nothing is impossible in football. Just remember how they came back against FC Port in the quarter final. Bayern skipper Philip Lahm has also expressed that his team will fight back at their favorite Allianz Arena, in front of their own supporters. But if Barcelona somehow manage to score at least one valuable away goal against Bayern, then it’ll be literally impossible for the German champion to qualify for the final. Scoring 5 goals in a single game, against Barcelona, seems quite impossible in this season. The master blaster manager, Pep Guardiola must have thought about the tactics and we have to wait for the second leg to watch the implication by the players. In the other hand, Barcelona manager Luis Enrique is also aware about the consequences. It can be easily predicted that he will be a little bit defensive mode for the second leg and wait for the scope to score at least one or two goal. Then Barcelona will be surely in the way to Berlin for the Grand Finale where they will meet either their old rival Real Madrid or the Italian giant Juventas.

Let’s go for a head to head comparison for the match. Barcelona’s deadly trio Messi, Neymar and Suarez look so aggressive this season that it seems they don’t care any opposition they are playing against. Recently in La Liga, they tore apart FC Cordova by defeating with a huge score line of 8-0 and a smart win over Real Sociedad by 2-0. Whereas Bayern’s forward are Thomas Muller, who can change any game at any moment, such a talented forward in recent times. There will be the Polish striker Robert Lewandowski and Mario Gotzealongside him. At midfield, Barca are well ahead than Bayern with the experience of Andres Iniesta, Xavi, Ivan Rakitic and Xavier Mascherano. Bayern has Xabi Alonso, who is very well known to Barca midfield as he used to play for the Spanish giant Real Madrid. With him, Bayern has the vastly experienced Philip Lahm and passionate Bastian Schweinsteiger. The defenders of both team seems to be in equal position. With all these dichotomies, there is also a similarity between these two teams. The both goalpost will be guarded by two German keepers: Manuel Neuer and TerStagen. No matter what the forwards and midfielders perform, this duo surely have to play the crucial role.
